Before we get started, I would like to send a quick shout out to my friends out BBQ Pitmasters. They hit the 3,000th "chapter"mark recently and they have a cool video of the party ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJxlh2G5FuU.
Anyway, lets hit the trail and have an adventure ... I was offered several good starting points tonight, so I thought I would start with one of my favorite bands.

I love these guys. I've seen them twice now! This is definitely one of the slower and mellow'er songs. At this early point in their career, they were pigeon-holed as a "stoner band" but I feel that has changed as they have aged. Sorry its only a song without a video, but its still an awesome song.

Holy Shit (sorry mama).. This is awesome! Motorhead doing a full out acoustic song! I can only hope to be half as cool as Lemmy when I am 60+ years old. Once again, I find myself listening to a totally "bluesy" sounding song from a hard rocking band. Speaking of hard rocking, Lemmy and the gang have been doing it a LONG time, probably in part what the lyrics are about.

Lets move on to one of the best (and my favorite) RNR band of all times. I've probably explained in previous entries about my LOVE of AC/DC music. In this entry they play the song with a guest singer, Lemmy sounds great in this song.

What a duo, Steven Tyler joins AC/DC for an awesome version of the classic song. For those that know me, I did get my obsession for hats (non baseball) from Brian! Hilarious moment of the video is Cliff essentially ignoring Steven! at 2:08 of the video. AC/DC is known for their "tight" musicianship (is that a word?) and Cliff wasn't going to allow a special guest to mess with that.

Speaking of weird duo's and interesting special guests, try this one on for size. I really like the song. However, I wouldn't pay a penny to support Axl Rose again in my life. The last time I saw GNR in Birmingham Alabama, Axl fired two or three sound men and claimed he could not continue the concert due to his voice being ruined. What a pile of stuff!

Given my last statement, I thought we would end with one of my two TOP rock and roll songs of all time. I love the tone that the bass and guitar combine to create at the opening, faded in from the roar of the motorcycle and drum intro. While you don't get that intro in this live version, look up a sound track version and you will see what I mean! Is that the drummer from Clutch jamming the drums during the show? Yep!
Normally, we would end the adventure here but I feel like I could use one more and since EVERYTHING in the recommendation list is Orange Goblin, I see another favorite and cant resist the urge for one more ...
Click 7- Eulogy for the Damned - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Gg9ld41amI
I know this is one of those worthless videos where someone plays the song to an image of the album cover but it is another awesome song. The lyrics are pretty dark which is a stark contrast to that mellow intro.
"All the saints see them coming and they run" and "we are dying from the day that we are born"! Sounds like Ben was channeling his inner Jim Morrison
Amazing trip tonight, I hope you had a good time and maybe found a new band. I do this for you, send me some feedback (good or bad) about these bands or a band you want me to try and we will include it!!!
